The James G. Kaskey Memorial Park is the original botanic garden for the University of Pennsylvania and is overseen by the Department of Biology. Established in 1895, the garden is a unique and much beloved green space located on the south end of the urban campus in West Philadelphia. Encompassing 3.5 acres of gardens, the Park serves as an outdoor classroom, laboratory, and green oasis for members of both the university and the community to enjoy and utilize.
