Overview

This portable equipment allows instructors or their students to give computer-assisted presentations using Microsoft Powerpoint 2003/2004 in any classroom without installed technology.

Technical specifications

Our setup includes the following items:

• 12.1" Apple iBook (with AirPort 802.11b wireless networking)
• 14" IBM ThinkPad (with 802.11b wireless networking)
• Microsoft PowerPoint 2003/2004
• Epson PowerLite 7000XB projector
• InFocus LP130 projector

The iBook runs Mac OS X and Microsoft Office 2004.

The IBM Thinkpad runs Microsoft Windows XP and Office 2003.

We carry two projectors; the InFocus is much lighter, easier to carry, and it provides better image quality. The Epson has a more solid carrying case and is better suited for presentations where the end user will be travelling off-campus.

Setup and usage

Reservations

To reserve this equipment, log in to the Penn Biology Applications site and enter the AV Equipment reservation form.
