BIOL526 Syllabus

This is a lecture/seminar course in molecular biology. The course is designed for graduate students with some background in molecular biology. Lectures will be given by a selection of Penn professors in their field of expertise. Emphasis will be on a wide range of experimental approaches utilized in the research area broadly defined as "molecular biology". The diversity of topics covered in this course reflect the belief that studies in areas such as gene expression, development, and signal transduction are best carried out via a combined approach utilizing all the tools of genetics, recombinant DNA technology, reverse genetics, cell biology, and biochemistry.
