The Photo Atlas for Biology,The lab manual may be purchased at the University Copy Service – located in the basement of Houston Hall.

grading and exams

The lab grade accounts for 150 points, as follows:

  • Quizzes - 70 points: eight quizzes, each worth 10 points; the lowest will be dropped
  • Written assignments: - 40 points: eight written assignments, each worth 5 points.
  • Mammalian Anatomy pre-lab assignment: 5 points
  • Cardiac Function in-lab assignment: 5 points
  • Renal Function pre-lab and in-lab assignments: 5 points
  • Neural Function in-lab assignment: 5 points
  • Photosynthesis in-lab assignment: 5 points
  • Plant Growth Regulators in-lab assignment: 5 points
  • Intra- and interspecific competition in-lab assignment: 5 points
  • Isle Royle simulation in-lab assignment: 5 points

Lab practical – 40 points: Covers all materials from lab for entire semester. Hint for success: don’t wait to the last minute to study. Keep up with the material.
