grading and exams

The course will be graded on the following components:

  • Lab notebook 10% collected twice during semester
  • Written discussion questions 20% weekly
  • Written lab exam 20% Thursday 4/23/04 1:30 PM (last lab period)
  • Symposium presentation 20% one per semester
  • Paper on unknown bacteria 10% due 4/28/04 (last reading day)
  • Lab quizzes 10% unannounced
  • Class participation 10%
