will give a short presentation describing the research and academic
opportunities offered by the graduate program at The
Rockefeller University. Rockefeller is a distinguished research
University situated on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New
York City. Many fundamental discoveries about biology have been
made there (for example, that DNA is the hereditary material,
that viruses can cause cancer, that protein sorting in the cell
relies on peptide signals in the proteins). The presentation will
highlight the history and current research in these areas, and
describe features of their unique graduate program.
Pizza and soft drinks will be provided
