Professor Eric Weinberg, Undergraduate Chair for the Department of Biology, welcomes all Penn undergraduates and any questions about planning a degree in biology. Our Undergraduate Program in Biology can introduce you to the many ways of understanding the function and diversity of living organisms.

We have recently updated our policy regarding credit for high school biology courses and our departmental AP policy - contact the Academic Office if you have additional questions.

The Biology department's AP exams for BIOL 101, 102, and 121 are given at the start of each semester. The date for the Spring 2010 exam has not been determined but will be posted here as soon as it is available.

The 2009-2010 Student Advisory Board provides current and prospective biology students with information on the major and advice about courses. Visit the Student Advisory Board site to e-mail current members with your questions and concerns.
