Biology majors from Penn enter a wide range of careers and occupy
a variety of professional positions, including :
- Scientific researchers in universities, science research institutes,
or biotech or pharmaceutical companies
- Doctors, dentists, physical therapists, public health workers,
or other health professionals
- High school biology teachers
- Positions with zoos, natural history museums, nature centers,
and fish and wildlife departments
- Sales positions for a pharmaceutical companies
- Science writers or medical illustrators, and a variety of
other professional positions
To provide Biology students with information about career opportunities,
as well as graduate training and internship opportunities, the
Biology Department sponsors a Career Night every fall. Check for
