Student Advisory Board (SAB)

The Student Advisory Board (SAB) serves as an intermediary between students of biology at the University of Pennsylvania and the Department of Biology. The SAB advocates for undergraduates by bringing their collective concerns before the department.

SAB members attempt to provide a source of information and advice about the Biology Department to prospective majors and minors by putting students into contact with current majors.

		Planning to attend graduate school for medical research. Currently involved with research on stem cells at the Wistar Institute.

		Planning to attend graduate school for biochemistry. Currently working in the lab of Dr. Phil Rea on phytochelatin-dependent heavy metal detoxification.
Louis Saddic	05	Molecular Biology Concentration with second major in Math
		Most likely will attend medical school but also considering graduate school. Currently working in the lab of Dr. Doris Wagner.
Leigh Seeleman	05	Ecology and Evolution Concentration
		Planning to pursue a career in ecology. Interested in research on the structure and function of ecosystems and using ecological research to solve specific environmental problems.
Brian Tessler	05	Molecular Biology Concentration with second major in the History and Sociology of Science
		Planning to attend medical school.
